Tom Dumoulin Bike Park
The Tom Dumoulin Bike Park is an innovative, high-quality, and world-class track that is fine-tuned to fulfil the needs of cycling enthusiasts the world over. This track caters to the needs of racing cyclists, mountain bikers, and BMX cyclists regardless of age or skill level.
Challenging
This 6-hectare area contains a 3.2 km track. The numerous courses vary in difficulty thanks to the different surface types, including cobblestone, the typical Limburg landscapes, differences in altitude, and even challenging turns. The differences in altitude result in inclines varying between 1 and 2.5%, with the outdoor category inclines up to 22.5%. The fenced course is perfect when preparing for all the different circumstances cyclists can encounter on public roads. It is a great way to train and gain experience in a safe, innovative environment. This location is perfectly suited for official International Cycling Union (UCI) competitions thanks to the wide starting and finishing lines, as well as the time-registration technology incorporated into the track. In addition to the race cycling course, there is a mountain bike course.

Opening hours
On 1 June 2017, the Tom Dumoulin Bike Park was officially opened by the Giro d’Italia 2017 winner Tom Dumoulin. Until 1 October 2017, all those wishing to get acquainted with this unique and above all safe cycling environment could do so for free at fixed times. This does not apply to reserved hours or events.

Experience
The Tom Dumoulin Bike Park has several simulated environments to give the cyclists a very lifelike experience. The features of the landscapes that characterize the Northern, Central, and Southern parts of the Dutch Province of Limburg were selected. Open-air terrain dominates the ‘Northern Limburg’, exposing cyclists to varying weather conditions such as rain, harsh winds, and direct sunlight. Bodies of water and winding rows of trees are the main features of the ‘Central Limburg’ route, while many differences in altitude are the challenging factor in ‘Southern Limburg’ route.
This is the largest safe cycling area in the Netherlands, meaning 50 different courses can be set out, of which six can be used simultaneously. As such, several different groups can be accommodated at once by the Tom Dumoulin Bike Park at Sportzone Limburg in Sittard-Geleen.
Unique
The Tom Dumoulin Bike Park truly is unique as an environment that all cyclists can use to test their skills, train their capabilities, or use for competitions. This is where talent becomes skill.
Course
During the hours reserved for free entry, only course number sixteen (three kilometres in length) is open to the public. This includes the section in the middle area. Having the first group start the course in a counter-clockwise direction ensures all users' safety, as other cyclists cannot cycle in the opposite direction.
Hiring a cycling course
The cycling course can be hired during the day or the weekend outside regular opening hours. The price for non-commercial, exclusive hire of the entire course, specifically for associations or educational institutions, events, or competitions (with a minimum of 100 participants) is: €75 an hour, excluding VAT
The price for hire of the entire course for commercial events or competitions (for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4 hours; longer hiring periods require consultation) is: €200 an hour, excluding VAT.
